Chewing

Not everything is a chew toy

Don’t Chew Out Your Dog

  • Favorite shoes chewed up?
  • Remote control crunched into pieces?
  • Dog just ate a hole in the couch?

Chewing is a very natural, normal and necessary activity for dogs. The problem is not that your dog chews, but what your dog chews. Puppies in particular chew to alleviate teething irritation, adult dogs engage in destructive chewing for a number of reasons such as anxiety, boredom, a dental problem, or a deficiency in diet.

Without a doubt chewing problems are easier to prevent than correct.
